]]>Hugh Jackman is no stranger to putting in the work, with the Wolverine star training vigorously to represent the comic book character in several Marvel films. The next will be Deadpool 3 which premieres next May.
Jackman’s weekly exercise routine involves targeting his chest and shoulders, back and biceps, legs and abs, arms, and core. So when we say the guy deserves a cheat treat, we mean it!
The 54-year-old actor recently shared his cheat meal of choice with his Instagram fans.
“Happy cheat meal to me! Nooo! I did not share. And I’m not sorry,” Jackman captioned his post. His order included waffles with melted cheese, mushrooms, and beef bolognese.
Unfortunately, the meal didn’t go down as well online as it did for the actor. Many mushroom haters weighed in, calling the concoction sacrilegious. But, Jackman’s order is perfectly balanced.
The waffle base provides carbohydrates which are needed with his level of intensity. Much-needed protein comes in the form of the ragu, and mushrooms—as divisive as they are—are known to contain potassium and B vitamins.
Bon Appétit, Hugh!

]]>The only reason that celebs and fitness coaches are able to have cheat days (or cheat meals, for that matter) is because they’re exceptionally good at having self-control. They’re able to have their less healthy meal and move on from that pretty smoothly back into their regularly scheduled diet. If you think you’re unable to do that, then perhaps a cheat day isn’t the right move for you.
But another part of it is about not getting discouraged. If you think you’re incapable of controlling yourself, there are certainly ways to improve that. Try experimenting with having cheat meals at different parts of the day, and see where you’re less “triggered” by them. The important thing is to never give up, and believe in yourself!
