Although dandelion is considered to be a weed, it’s not. In fact, it’s a very healthy herb that is good for your health. According to researches, all of the plant is edible; the greens, the flower, and even the roots. And each part provides different health benefits.

Carbs

One serving, which is a cup of chopped dandelion greens, provides five grams of carbohydrate in the form of starch, fiber, and naturally-occurring sugar. Starch and sugar will boost up your energy, while fiber stabilizes blood sugar, and improves digestive health.

Fats

According to studies, there is a minimal dose of fat in dandelion greens; less than a gram in a one cup serving, and it is saturated fat which is known as a less healthy fat. But the amount is so small, that it wonโ€™t harm your health.

You can get 1.5 grams of protein in a one cup serving.
