You’re more likely to succeed in running a marathon or working out more consistently with someone by your side. Even if you have been doing this for a while, you still need some support and it is way more fun in a group.
You are more likely to stay committed by having support that keeps you accountable and consistent. There will be days that you just don’t feel like working out and would rather be at home watching TV, but an accountability buddy sending you an encouraging message will get you to that workout.
When working out with a friend or in a group you’ll probably enjoy it more and you have someone to talk to or complain to when it gets too hard. It will also stop you from feeling alone or insecure about not knowing what you’re doing and it’s just way more fun.
You’re more likely to stick with a new workout regime or sport if you have someone by your side. Having a friend who is on the same level as you will understand your struggles and keep you coming back for more.
