Are you drinking enough water? Do you even know how much is enough? You should probably be drinking more than you do.

We all know that hydration is important. It has numerous benefits for health and wellbeing, including improving mood and brain functions and helping the organs work properly. But how many times in a day do you remember to have a glass of plain water?

The Formula

The simplest formula that will help you determine the recommended water intake per day is simple: your weight in kg x 0.6 ÷ 15. For example, if you weigh 145 pounds that’s around 66 kg. 66 x 0.6 ÷ 15 = 2.64 litres per day.

Water from food counts, too. You can drink 80% of the recommended water quantity and take the rest in the form of fruits and vegetables.

How to make sure you drink enough? The best thing you can do is to keep a reusable bottle with you all the time. Sip from it whenever convenient and refill it throughout the day.
