]]>Stand on your mat with your feet hip-width apart. Feel into the four corners of your feet, and imagine them rooting down into the earth. With your arms at your sides and your palms facing forward, keep your pelvis tucked under and your abdominal muscles lightly engaged. Stand tall and straight, maintaining an awareness of your own stability.
From Mountain Pose, lift your left foot and place the sole on the inside of your right calf or thigh. Avoid the knee as it’s a sensitive joint. Keep your hands at your chest in prayer position, or imagine you’re a blooming plant and extend your arms up. If you’re comfortable, you can bring your gaze upward as well.
