That said, here are some courses of action you can take if you suffer from sciatica.

Stay Active

It may be uncomfortable, but the best thing you can do is keep walking, standing, and sitting upright as much as possible. One of the worst things you can do is stay lying down for weeks. This will aggravate the symptoms. But make sure you don’t do any heavy lifting.

Take NSAID Painkillers

If the pain is really bad and is disrupting your daily life, then take NSAID painkillers such as ibuprofen. This should alleviate the pain for a short while. But if the pain persists, seek medical attention.

The great outdoors is a fantastic place to workout. You can walk, run, ride a bike for miles and miles, and see lush greenery and new things. It’s also a lot cheaper than purchasing a treadmill. But during the summer, you lose breeze and can also lose some motivation. Here are a few ways that we like to stay cool while we workout.

Shower Dip

Right before you workout, go into a cold shower and submerge your hair in the water. Don’t wring it out–the water will slowly evaporate into the heat, but you’ll stay cool with the water dripping down! You can also dip in the shower with your workout shirt on, which will take longer to heat up.

Ice Water

Put your water bottle in the freezer a few hours before your workout. It will slowly melt as your routine goes on, but is a refreshing and rejuvenating beverage while the ice lasts. You can also do this with your workout clothes so they stay cool as well.

Wear Light Clothing

Black absorbs sunlight, making you hotter! Light colors like white will reflect the sun, keeping your body cool. So make good activewear choices!

The great outdoors is a fantastic place to workout. You can walk, run, ride a bike for miles and miles, and see lush greenery and new things. It’s also a lot cheaper than purchasing a treadmill. But during the summer, you lose breeze and can also lose some motivation. Here are a few ways that we like to stay cool while we workout.

Shower Dip

Right before you workout, go into a cold shower and submerge your hair in the water. Don’t wring it out–the water will slowly evaporate into the heat, but you’ll stay cool with the water dripping down! You can also dip in the shower with your workout shirt on, which will take longer to heat up.

Ice Water

Put your water bottle in the freezer a few hours before your workout. It will slowly melt as your routine goes on, but is a refreshing and rejuvenating beverage while the ice lasts. You can also do this with your workout clothes so they stay cool as well.

Wear Light Clothing

Black absorbs sunlight, making you hotter! Light colors like white will reflect the sun, keeping your body cool. So make good activewear choices!
