]]>Keys is currently busy promoting her new activewear collection with Athleta, and she spilled the beans about her fitness routine in interviews with Self and Shape. The “Girl on Fire” singer never hid her endless love for Pelton, but it turns out indoor cycling is just a tiny part of her intense workout routine.
“I love cycling, heavy cardio, yoga, and Pilates… Pre-workout, I really try to meditate. I think it’s such a nice complement to be grounded in the early part of the morning and then get right through your workout,” she told Shape.
When it comes to yoga, Keys revealed that she enjoys classes that add resistance to low-impact workouts through the use of leg and arm weights, and Bala Bangles are her personal favorite.
Keys also told Self that she enjoys doing outdoor workouts during warmer seasons, such as running, hiking, and outdoor biking. She feels “invigorated and inspired” every time she works out outside, and she designed her new Athleta line with summer workouts in mind.

]]>Designed by the multiple Grammy Award winner, the Athleta x Alicia Keys collection was inspired by those closest to her. “I love enjoying my circle of friends and loved ones during the holidays, so when I was designing this collection with Athleta, I wanted to create an offering that would save women time with versatile options to wear and give as gifts,” she says.
The collection offers the comfort we crave from athleisure wear, but with enough style and sophistication that can be dressed up for a holiday party. Think gold puffer jackets, cherry-red structured pants, cashmere tunics, and super soft bodysuits.
“I love that there are pieces for everyone, which was important to me when designing this collection. Everything was designed to make women feel special and give them a range of styles—no matter their size.”

]]>The launch of Keys’ collection with Athleta will coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8th, and that’s not a coincidence. Her main vision for this collection was to arm women and girls with the tools needed to step into their power and potential.
“I was drawn to Athleta because we both want to encourage women to discover, accept and OWN their power. We’re all about the uniqueness of women, body positivity, and creating a lifestyle that showcases our immeasurable power within,” said Keys said in a press release.
The singer’s collection will feature Athleta’s best-selling leggings and crop tops in earthy tones, bright pink jumpsuits, oversized zip-up hoodies, wide-leg pants, and more activewear staples. The products will range in size from XXS to 3X, and they’ll be available on Athleta’s official website.
In addition to co-designing her own activewear line, Keys is also joining forces with Athleta for their Power of She Fund grant program, which provides grants to businesses led by women of color.
