Loss of appetite can come from many different things like physical or psychological causes. In order to fix the problem, it’s important to determine its root. Loss of appetite is often just a symptom that can’t be fixed without fixing the main thing that caused it.

Physical Reasons

Sometimes, the reason you don’t feel like eating can be something physical, like a stomach bug. Loss of appetite may be a symptom of various problems, like cold, anemia, diabetes, and even cancer. It’s relatively common as an early pregnancy symptom, too. That’s why it’s crucial to visit the doctor as soon as possible in order to determine the problem behind your loss of appetite.

Psychological Reasons

Exercising can help you get in better shape and burn calories. But you may have noticed that since you’ve been more active, you’ve also been hungrier. Does exercise increase your appetite? Here’s what you should know about the connection between hunger and exercise.

Exercise & Hunger

During a workout, you probably won’t feel hungry because you’re too busy focusing on your workout. While you’re working out, your appetite stays suppressed and it continues for a bit when your workout is over. How long your hunger is suppressed relates to the intensity and duration of your exercise with more intense workouts resulting in holding of your hunger longer.

What are Your Goals?

Regardless of if you’re working out for weight loss or performance, it’s essential to eat after a workout to help your body refuel. If you’re building muscles, you need nutrients after a workout session to make progress. It’s essential to take in protein for muscle recovery and repair and carbohydrates to replenish glycogen.

Post-Workout Nutrition

For intense workouts, it’s important to eat a snack or meal not long after completion, regardless of if you feel hungry. You’ll notice that for a little while after your exercise you won’t feel hungry, but a few hours later you’ll be starving. When this happens, it’s important to make healthy food choices, so your progress doesn’t go to waste.

This light and nutrient dense dinner is a great summer time meal for the evening. 🌞 It's a dish of delicious fresh rainbow trout with a bed of riced cauliflower all with a side of lightly sauteed broccoli and some Japanese style egg rolls! 😋 . Double tap for similar recipes and ideas 👉 @itsirischeung🔥 . This dish contains: . 🐟 Rainbow Trout: I pan fried the trout in 1 tsp of olive oil skin side down. Covered the lid to let it steam for about 5 to 7 minutes, and then lightly seasoned it with garlic powder, a bit of korean red pepper, salt + pepper. . 🍽 Riced Cauliflower: I seasoned it with 2 sundried tomatoes, garlic powder, a pinch of korean red pepper for spiciness and salt + pepper . 🥦 Broccoli: First I blanched them in boiling hot water for about 30 seconds. Then I sauteed them in a bit of sesame oil and seasoned it with salt + pepper . 🥚Eggs: I used only the egg whites for this quick egg roll. It's seasoned with a bit of garlic powder, salt + pepper. I used a Japanese tamagoyaki pan lightly oiled with sesame oil to roll it up and then sliced them into bit sized pieces. #dinnerinspo #healthydinnerideas #healthyandtasty #foodglooby #cleaneats #cleaneatingrecipe #postworkoutmeal #feelgoodfood #fitnessjourney #eatwholefoods #mindfuleating #healthconscious  #healthyeatingtips  #healthyfoodchoice #fitnessideas #cleaneatingrecipe #nutritiousfood #nutritiontip  #nutriciousanddelicious #choosehealthy #fitmeals #proteinpacked #fitnesstraining #healthymeals #quickrecipes #cleanchoices #fitnessmotivation #fitnessgoals #golean #healthychoices  #fitnessbloggers
