Known as “nature’s sports drink”, coconut water has is packed full of health benefits. Not to be confused with coconut milk, coconut water is found within young coconuts and does not contain the milky flesh. Here are some of the benefits you can expect if you start drinking coconut water today.

Aids Post-Workout Recovery

If you have just completed a heavy session, drinking coconut water is an excellent way to replenish your depleted fluids and re-balance muscle function. Abundant in potassium, sodium, and magnesium, its electrolytes will regulate your fluid balance.

Helps Digestion

Coconut water contains a lot of magnesium, a mineral that helps the digestive system to keep things moving and to prevent constipation.

Promotes Heart Health

Although bananas are famous for their high levels of potassium, one cup of coconut water contains more of it than an average-sized banana. Potassium can help reduce blood pressure and promote heart health.

My Coconut Water Lemonade with Lemon Blossoms! Imagine a picturesque and beautiful island fringed with a shimmering blue sea, swaying coconut trees and this drink in your hand!  Sounds perfect, right?! Everything tastes so much better with coconut water, including this lemonade! Take it in writing, once you try this coconut water lemonade, you will never, EVER go back to regular lemonade. All you need is fresh coconut water, some lemon juice, a little bit of sugar and ice, and you will have the most amazing lemonade; everyone will be begging you for more! For my lemonade I used some fresh and homegrown lemons and styled it with fragrant lemon blossoms! To spice things up, you can also add a hint of mint with a double shot of white rum for a perfect coconut mojito! Can't wait for you to try it! x ________________________________________ Thrilled to join the lovely, Heather & Allison @aforagersfeast @allisondavidphotography for #specialsummercollabs Edible Flowers I am also thrilled to share with this with dear, Monique @peaches2peaches for #stillswithglasses Lastly, I want to join the lovely, Lucia @healthygoodiesbylucia for #straightonchallenge  Hope you like it! x #thesouthasiankitchen #cs_feast @creativelysquared #foodartblog #foodfluffer #hautecuisines #hautescuisines #foodartproject #coconutwater #lemonade #refreshingdrink #flavoredwater #fruitwater #drinkphotography #drinkstyling #cocktailsofinstagram #cocktailstyling #foodpotrait #foodphotography #foodphotographyandstyling #creativephotography #stilllifephotography #edibleflowers #moodyphotography #darkfoodphotography #vegansofinstagram #darkphotography #darkandmoody

Fruits are known as some of the healthiest things you could possibly eat—as long as you don’t go overboard. Despite their many health benefits, some of our favorite fruits should be eaten in moderation.

Avocados

Most people can’t imagine starting their day without an avocado toast. If that’s the case with you, try stopping after one or two slices because avocados are very high in fat.

Bananas

Bananas are another healthy fruit most people have on their daily menu, but you shouldn’t go overboard with them. Most of their calorie content comes from carbs, and they’re packed with sugar.

Mangos

Mangos are known for their irresistible sweet taste, and it’s not hard to see why. One cup of mangos contains 23 grams of sugar, making them one of the fruits with the highest sugar content.

Coconuts

Coconuts and coconut-derived products are also best consumed in small doses. In addition to being packed with calories, they also contain a high level of saturated fat.
