To properly do deep water running, you need to stimulate your normal running style. Always keep a loosely close fist and let your legs move you forward. Do not ever paddle with open or cupped hands. Also, make sure the bottoms of your feet are kicking the water behind you.
Don’t get scared if your heart rate drops, it will be about 10 percent less than at the same intensity on land.
