Have you ever heard of deep water running? This activity, which is also known as aqua jogging, is a great way for runners to prevent injuries from occurring and to recover from current injuries. It’s a great alternative to running outside when the weather is extremely hot and humid.
To reach your milestone you have to run in water deep enough that you can’t touch the bottom of the swimming pool. Water creates more resistance than air, so it is more difficult to run, which prevents you from damaging your joints.
To properly do deep water running, you need to stimulate your normal running style. Always keep a loosely close fist and let your legs move you forward. Do not ever paddle with open or cupped hands. Also, make sure the bottoms of your feet are kicking the water behind you.
