Are you tired of hitting the gym and lifting heavy weights to tone your arms? While there’s certainly nothing wrong with this approach, you may be surprised to know that you don’t necessarily have to go to the gym to get a good workout for your upper body. There are plenty of YouTube videos that can help you target different muscles and build strength at home using just your own body weight. If you’re looking to save time and still get in an effective arm workout, it may be worth giving some a try. Here are a few of our favorites:

15 Minute Arm Burnout

Burnout is right – this 15-minute arm-kicking workout by Cassey Ho, the pilates instructor behind Blogilates, will have you feeling the heat in no time. It includes 10 movements performed for 1 minute each to effectively target all of the major muscles in your arms, chest, and upper back.

Tone Your Arms Workout

If you’re still not convinced that you can get an effective arm workout without equipment, we dare you to give this video by Holly Dolke a try. It’s only 7 minutes, but wow, is it effective! With consistent practice, you’ll build strength in the muscles of the upper arms and shoulders and see a noticeable difference in their appearance in no time.

7 Minute Workout To Tone Your Arms

This video is part of a 2-week challenge created by fitness instructor Daniela Suarez, though you can also do it on its own on an as-needed basis. It’s designed to be beginner-friendly, though that definitely doesn’t mean you won’t be feeling the burn. To really turn up the heat, try performing some or all of the movements while wearing wrist weights.

Partner yoga may be just the thing for you! In partner yoga, two people work together to practice poses that can increase flexibility and strength in the physical body. The practice is also a great way to reconnect and strengthen emotional bonds, as many poses require that partners support and trust one another. This partner flow by Taylor Wray Yoga features gentle stretches and simple, easy-to-hold poses. It’s perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a way to unwind at the end of a long day while connecting with a loved one.

Partner Yoga FULL CLASS

If you’re already used to working with a partner and want to try a longer, more challenging flow, we recommend this 50-minute class by Zach Beach Love. It includes deeper stretches and balancing poses with longer holds followed by a nice, long savasana.

20 Minute PARTNER YOGA

We love this 20-minute flow by SarahBethYoga whenever we’re in the mood to get out of our comfort zones and try something a little more playful. It features some fun AcroYoga poses while still being simple enough for beginners to follow.
