]]>One great way to help foster your kids’ imagination and help them appreciate storytelling and worldbuilding while also working off pent-up energy is to help them create a story to act out. This might mean they set a goal to go find a hidden treasure, they play as villains and heroes with different powers and pretend to fight, or they are a princess and a witch chasing each other.
An old but great activity, countless kids have enjoyed the fun of playing in a running sprinkler out in the yard. This is a good option if you don’t have time or energy to take them all the way to the pool and back home and if you like the neighborhood kids might even join in. You can sit out on the porch and supervise, or get on a bathing suit and jump through the water too!
One way to foster a love for nature and the outdoors is to bring your kids to local walking trails, hiking trails, and parks. This will get them out of the house and they’ll be able to learn all about plants and wildlife!

]]>Created by London-based personal trainer and health coach Glenn Higgins, this YouTube channel is true refreshment for all the parents whose kids don’t enjoy physical activity. His main goal is to “put the fun back into fitness and help engage [the kids] like never before.”
Convincing kids to do traditional workouts may seem like an impossible mission, but Higgins makes it look easy. All of his workouts are inspired by beloved fantasy and sci-fi movies and TV shows, and they make it possible for kids to train with their favorite superheroes, wizards, and Jedis.
Higgins is dressed as beloved fictional characters in all the videos, and the futuristic setups and special effects make them even more fun. It takes 20 minutes to go through most of them, but some are much shorter, making sure that the kids won’t get bored before the video is over.
