If you’re one of those people, we’re not here to judge. Instead, we’ll share some amazing ways to stay active even though you hate exercising.

Dance

We don’t know a single person who hates dancing! Even if you’re too shy to do it in front of the others, nothing prevents you from blasting some music and making a dance party at home. You can burn a lot of calories while having fun.

Gardening

Taking care of your garden counts as an activity! Chances are there’ll be a lot of squatting, bending, digging, and other movements, so 30 minutes per day is enough to consider your workout done. Plus, you’ll have the most beautiful garden in the neighborhood!

Do Chores

Similar applies to all household chores. Wash your car, vacuum the floors, put the dishes away. Before you know it, you’ll get your heart rate up and your home will look so much better.

Setting new goals each and every week or daily will help you stay motivated to get moving. Set goals like completing a certain amount of sets, increasing mileage, or trying a new workout video each day. Keep challenging yourself with new, harder goals.

Compete With a Friend

Follow your friends progress with a fitness tracker and pay attention to the types of workouts they complete. This friendly competition will help you stay accountable and motivated when you can’t be bothered getting off the couch.

Productive Recovery

To stay active you don’t need to do a high-intensity cardio workout everyday; try just getting up to stretch and move your legs. Try going for a walk around the block the next time you can’t be bothered doing a formal workout. After you workout, look forward to a recovery with a coffee or a healthy snack.
