]]>While some people may believe that getting fit requires long, grueling workouts that go on for hours, Ronaldo has proven them wrong with his Living Room Cup workout. Each exercise included in this workout is just 45 seconds long, in which time you have to try to complete as many reps as possible.
If you’re looking to activate your leg muscles, then this is the workout for you. This workout involves eight barbell squats, 10 box jumps, eight broad jumps, eight jumping lunges, and 10 lateral bounds. Remember to repeat the circuit three times for maximum benefit.
After completing a full week of exercise, Ronaldo likes to fill his Sundays with a quick burst of high-intensity exercise. He does 10 sets of rope jumps for one minute each, followed by 10 sets of 50-meter sprints.

]]>Amy is blunt about the difficulties she has faced, “It’s certainly not easy to bounce back after having a baby—I can say that firsthand.”
She’s back on top now but compares returning after pregnancy to returning after an injury! “I had relatively easy pregnancies and deliveries, but by no means was the post-partum easy. I had to completely retrain and get in shape from the ground up. I had never taken that much time off from my sport. My muscles were essentially gone (compared to what I had before) and I had to lose 35 pounds of baby weight.”
When asked what recommendations she have for new moms, sha replied: “Be prepared for the craziest, hardest roller-coaster of your life, but it will also be one of the proudest accomplishments you will have. I was fortunate to play for a great organisation and to have wonderful support around me (my husband and my family). Without them, I couldn’t have done it.”
Dana says she’s very content with the way things were after the birth, “I feel happier with my sport than I ever have.” She indicates that for her, things are in better balance now.
Nia says that having a baby has given her an advantage, “My mentality in training and competition has gotten leaps better.” Which is ideal for a hurdler like Nia.
Paula says that she finds that being an athlete and a mom is a perfect combination because it gives her lots of time to spend with her kids. She certainly didn’t have any problems getting back to the top after becoming a mom.
Whether moms work in an office, fly helicopters, or run marathons for a living, it’s always an adjustment to return after having a baby. But whatever it “all” is, moms are no less capable than anyone else to have it.

]]>In the sport of skiing, it takes a special kind of talent, combined with a level of commitment and competitive drive that most could never imagine. That’s because in these races, it comes down to milliseconds and precise angles. In one race, Vonn beat Italian skier, Sofia Goggia, by just two-hundredths of a second, and in most races, she reaches up to 80 miles per hour, leaving no room for error.
But it wasn’t all easy for Vonn, who has faced multiple serious injuries that would cause anyone to hesitate about getting back up on the horse. She’s suffered concussions, torn ligaments, fractures, broken bones and even serious abraisons to her face. In one race, she fell and somersaulted down the slope screaming as she passed spectators.
Over time, she has developed a relentless determination to be the best, which has led her to be one of the top athletes in the world and one of the strongest female skiers in history.
Vonn is only one of six women who have come in first place in all six slope styles in the World Cup including downhill, giant slalom, slalom, super combine and super-G. Now, she’s asking the Federation Internationale de Ski to allow her to race in the men’s downhill competition. After being initially turned down, Vonn is recruiting male skiers to back her up in her request.
With her unparralled skills, fearlessness and persistence, Vonn is easily one of the most impressive athletes out there, male or female.
