]]>Gyms can be really intimidating, especially if you’re new to working out. And don’t even get us started on the weight lifting area—it’s full of beefed-up men. At women-only gyms, you don’t have to worry about this and it’s less intimidating since there are only females there.
These gyms tend to have more equipment and classes geared toward women and with the female body in mind.
Believe it or not, women-only gyms are usually quieter and smaller than other gyms. They also offer personal training with women or they post the hours where men are working.
Gyms are not only a great place to get a workout, but they’re also amazing for making friends and networking. At women-only gyms, you can meet people to hang out with outside of exercising.

]]>Make sure you bring a face mask and wear it when you check-in at the gym or wherever social distancing isn’t properly carried out.
When possible, bring your own towel and mat as many gym won’t be offering these when they open and if they do, it’s better to use your own, which is cleaner.
Although it sounds counter-intuitive, wear clothes you are comfortable working out in as this will avoid you touching and adjusting your clothes and spreading germs.
Avoid bringing your phone to the gym all together or store it in your locker because it’s a breeding ground for germs.
One of the main reasons for going back to the gym is the sheer amount of machines and weights available, but try and limit how many machines you’re using and always clean them before and after you use them.
Before heading back to the gym, take a look on Facebook and Instagram to see if the gym is actually taking social distancing seriously and cleaning the equipment. If you see photos of gym goers packed together in a small space, it’s not a good sign.

]]>Gym airports are still not a common thing to see in airports in the United States and you’ll have to search hard to find one. Many airports do offer fitness amenities like yoga and airport hotels offer day passes to their fitness centers.
You can find a full-service gym at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). The gym’s called ROAM Fitness and there’s everything you need to complete a great workout including treadmills, bicycles, weight benches, and dumbells. ROAM Fitness centers will soon be available on the west coast as well at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). We expect more airports to open these gyms soon as health and fitness have become extremely trendy over the past few years.
Our bodies always ache after a long flight, so how can we avoid this? Even just walking around the airport before your flight and stretching out your muscles can help with this issue. Also, working out before a flight will help tire you out, helping you fall asleep on the plane.
If you’re interested in having a formal workout, try doing a HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout because it doesn’t take much time to do it and you’ll get the most out of your workout.
