This might mean they set a goal to go find a hidden treasure, they play as villains and heroes with different powers and pretend to fight, or they are a princess and a witch chasing each other.
An old but great activity, countless kids have enjoyed the fun of playing in a running sprinkler out in the yard. This is a good option if you don’t have time or energy to take them all the way to the pool and back home and if you like the neighborhood kids might even join in. You can sit out on the porch and supervise, or get on a bathing suit and jump through the water too!
One way to foster a love for nature and the outdoors is to bring your kids to local walking trails, hiking trails, and parks. This will get them out of the house and they’ll be able to learn all about plants and wildlife!

Spinning a hula hoop was one of our most loved activities when we were kids. Who can keep the hoop on them for longer or who has the prettiest hula hoop of them all? It was always a competition! So why not buy your child one, too? It will bring you back to your childhood and it’s a great, fun family activity.
Is there a more entertaining summer activity than running in the sprinklers? We donât think so! It’s a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.

As your kid grows a little bit older, their vision, concentration and attention span will improve. Once they reach the age of six, itâs safe to contact your local club and sign them up for sports activity theyâre passionate about. Football, touch rugby, gymnastics, swimming, tennis and martial arts are some of the best choices for kids who are still in elementary school.
