]]>In an official press release announcing her partnership with Athleta, Biles said she’s hoping this new collaboration will give her the opportunity to encourage young girls to reach their full potential and be a force for change.
“I admire Athleta for their commitment to recognize and support women’s individual and collective strength and, together, I believe we can help girls to confidently and passionately take on the world in their athletic endeavors and beyond,” said the Olympic gold medalist.
Biles’ first activewear line with Athleta still doesn’t have an official release date, but she’s expected to work collaboratively with the brand’s team to bring it to life. Athleta’s chief product officer, Jana Henning, said they’re certain Biles will bring the same elements of confidence, strength, and grace that she’s known for to this partnership.
In addition to curating a line of exclusive apparel for Athleta, Biles is also expected to facilitate conversations that will inspire and uplift young women to reach their full potential.

]]>Simone starts practice at seven and before she does, she sometimes eats a quick bite and sometimes she doesn’t. When she has time, she’ll eat oatmeal or fruit. While she doesn’t drink coffee, she makes sure to stay hydrated throughout practice with water. Following her workout, she’ll sip on a protein shake. On the weekends when she has more time, she’ll eat protein waffles, eggs, or cinnamon rolls.
Simone often orders lunch from Uber Eats, who she recently teamed up with along with Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness for the “Tonight I’ll Be Eating” campaign in the U.S. Her meals range from pepperoni pizza to salmon or sushi. She also tries to eat veggies with her favorites being asparagus, carrots, corn, green beans, peas, potatoes, and broccoli.
In regards to snacks, Simone doesn’t snack to much because she’s constantly on the move, but when she does, she chooses fruit.
Simone listens to her body when it comes to dinner. Sometime she eats a little less healthy with pizza or fettuccine Alfredo with chicken.
The gymnast doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth, so she only has dessert when she has a craving for it. While she’s at home, she likes to eat cookies or strawberries and whipped cream.

]]>The 23-year-old gymnast hosted a live-stream Masterclass last week and she gave tips to young gymnasts as well as mental health advice. During the video, Biles said she takes care of her mental health just as much as her physical fitness and that she still gets nervous prior to competitions.
“Before a competition—usually a week or two [before]—I’ll go to therapy to decompress, be in a different atmosphere in a safe place, so I can say whatever I want, say how I’m feeling, [and get out] any negativity,” said Biles. “And it kind of just calms me.”
Biles has been a long time advocate of therapy and she also journals, “I do recommend journaling because it’s a safe spot [to express yourself],” she said during her live-stream. “You can put your thoughts onto paper, however you’re feeling, or your goals, or whatever you want to do.”
The gymnast has been journaling since she was a child after a coach encouraged her to start. The coach had all of the students keep a journal and write down how the workout went at the end of the day.
In regards to how she prepares on the day of a competition, Biles said she runs through one last practice and eats healthy food like salad, chicken, and bananas, gets a nap, and listens to a playlist with her favorite music to get out of her head.
She also avoids social media right before a competition because she doesn’t want to put too much pressure on herself to win. She doesn’t want to disappoint her fans, but she knows she’s an amazing gymnast and in the Masterclass she said, “I just want to make people happy with my gymnastics and bring them joy by them watching me.”
