If you’ve been struggling to find time for working out while on the road, Rebel Wilson knows your pain and she has some useful tips that will help you stay active during your travels.

Staying on the Move

The Pitch Perfect star doesn’t insist on fitting workouts into her daily schedule when she’s traveling. Her priority is to simply keep her body moving and keep her blood pumping. She enjoys going on long walks in new cities and she has a habit of listening to podcasts along the way.

Healthy Restaurants

Even if you put an effort into your workout, it’s impossible to stay in shape if you don’t commit to a healthy diet. Luckily, Wilson has a fix for that, as well.

“Even though it’s a global pandemic, I’ve had to travel to London, Atlanta, and New York. And though I love the carbs I’ve been trying to find places that have good proteins and high-quality meats,” Wilson told Travel + Leisure.

Proper Hydration

Staying properly hydrated is just as important as trying to eat healthy when you’re traveling. Wilson thinks it’s the part that we easily forget while on the road, but proper hydration has been a big part of maintaining her health during her travels.

While packing for your trip, do not forget to pack a few pieces of exercise clothes. Chose those that are made of quick-drying material, so you can easily wash them and have them dried until tomorrow. Don’t forget your running shoes and make room in your suitcase for your favorite pair.

Many gyms offer daily free passes, or sometimes even weekly passes. Hotels also have deals with local gyms for special discounts, so check if the hotel you’re planning to stay at during your trip has some special offers you could use.

Drink in Moderation

We all know that partying when your traveling is great fun. If you want to drink but stay as “healthy” as possible, the best options are wine or sipping neat liquor. While these drinks can be quite strong, as long as you don’t overdo it they don’t have as much excess fat and sugar as other beverages.
