]]>Larson recently set down with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss her future projects, and one topic she discussed countless times came up again—her Captain Marvel workout. The Oscar-winning actress talked about her fitness routine many times before, but she now shared an interesting detail that you might appreciate if you’re dealing with asthma.
Larson described herself as “an introvert with asthma” and said that the fear of failure inspired her to take her workouts to the next level while preparing to play Carol Danvers.
“I started training, and I learned that I was actually much stronger than I realized and that my allergies were what was causing my asthma. So, I just took allergy medicine. And I could lift heavy weights and it really transformed my life,” she explained.
Everyone dealing with asthma should consult their doctor before committing to a rigorous workout routine, but Larson’s story is truly inspiring and it proves everything is possible.

]]>So, as you can imagine, Larson is back on Instagram showing off her current training, and it’s just as inspiring as it was two years ago. From weighted planks with a 45-pound plate on her back to kettlebell goblet squats with added resistance, to push-ups with added resistance using a resistance band, Larson is clearly capable of things that most of us aren’t.
But while we may not be able to ever do a plank with a weight the size of a small child on our backs, we can definitely take inspiration from Larson’s workouts. From adding extra resistance to exercises to continuing to push when you think you can’t handle anymore, Larson’s Instagram will definitely be a great source of inspiration in the months to come.

]]>Larson shared several pretty relaxing workout videos on her YouTube channel throughout the pandemic, but her latest see her going back to her strict training regimen. To stay in shape, he’s relying on help from her trainer Jason Walsh, who also counts Liam Hemsworth and Chloë Grace Moretz among his celebrity clients.
In one of her recent workout videos, Larson can be seen doing squats while lifting an incredible amount of weight at her home gym. The video was followed by a cheeky caption that read “no toes were hurt in the making” because she did the entire routine barefoot.
Another video shows her doing squats with a unique piece of workout equipment called Exxentric, used for flywheel training. The machine in question is known as KBox, and it’s been created with intense workouts and serious strength-building exercises in mind.

]]>Larson’s new workout video is here to prove she’s fully committed to this action-packed project—even if it means working out from home. Instead of training at a traditional gym, she set one up at home and her personal trainer joined her virtually to guide her through the process.
“My body hurts already and we have only just begun… sending a big thank you to Jason Walsh, my incredible trainer, for helping me with this workout. I’m thrilled to be able to show you my process and not just the final result. It’s only getting harder from here, folks,” wrote Larson on YouTube.
One of the most impressive moments in the whole video shows the actress holding a pull-up for an entire minute, but that’s just one of many highlights. Just like all of her previous workout videos, this one is a true delight and we’re hoping she’ll share more details about her training progress as she prepares to play Carol Danvers again.

]]>Larson was not much of a gym rat before landing this role, but that didn’t stop her from winning the part. She immediately hired celebrity trainer Jason Walsh, who helped her get into a superhero shape over the course of the next few months.
“Brie came to me, and the good thing was we had 9 months. Her character is very very physical, so we needed her to be super resilient, super strong, so that she can recover from this and not risk shutting down production,” explained Walsh.
According to him, Larson would hit the gym five times a week to get in shape, and they mostly focused on strength training. That’s why the Captain Marvel workout regimen employed several basic pieces of strength training equipment, such as resistance bands, stability balls, and barbells.
Check out some of Larson’s training sessions, which helped her transform into a heroine we all know and love.
