]]>Stan recently discussed his approach to working out with Men’s Journal and said he was as devoted as always because the production was just as big as with the movies. The Marvel star added that staying in shape for this role over the past eight years has changed his life and he couldn’t have done it without the celebrity trainer Don Saladino.
According to Saladino, Stan mostly trained with a kettlebell or a pair of dumbbells, because that was all the equipment he had at his disposal in isolation. The famous trainer said it’s “aspirational” to see what he managed to achieve with body weight and a few pieces of gear.
The list of exercises that he performed as part of his routine includes half-kneeling one-arm kettlebell presses, dumbbell side raises, dumbbell reverse flyes, kettlebell halos, and one-arm kettlebell carry. He made sure to increase size, strength, and endurance along the way to properly prepare for the show’s ruthless fight and action sequences.

“If you’re not in that range for a long period of time, hormone levels are going to just start plummeting. Testosterone levels, cortisol levels – everything is going to start getting out of whack to burn fat, energy levels, repair, recovery, all that,” explained Don Saladino.
The personal trainer believes you’ll feel better and more motivated for a workout when you actually wake up rested, and his heart is in the right place. Make sure to remember this advice if you’re sacrificing your sleep. It’s better to hit the gym three times instead of five times a week and get some sleep in between than to feel tired every time you’re there.

You don’t have to hit the gym every day in order to stay in amazing shape, according to Saladino. If your body doesn’t have time to recover from your grueling exercise regimen, training three times a week is more than enough.
Lively’s workouts are focused on performance and physique and usually start with breathing and foam rolling, followed by a dynamic warm-up.
Saladino isn’t one of those personal trainers who is trying to push 100 percent all the time and believes they should be avoided. He thinks each client should listen to their body, and gauge the intensity of their workout to how they’re feeling that day.
