Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is one movie that everyone’s raving about right now, and Tenoch Huerta is its biggest rising star. He had to submit to grueling workouts to prepare for the role of Namor, and we’re bringing you all the secrets behind his fitness routine.

Wakanda Forever introduces Huerta as Namor, the ruler of an ancient Aztec civilization gifted with superhuman strength and abilities. He previously starred in Narcos: Mexico and The Forever Purge, but this is definitely his most physically demanding role to date, so it required special preparation.

Huerta and his trainer disused his workout routine with Men’s Health. The list of exercises includes back squats, Romanian deadlifts, incline bench presses, and pike position leg extensions, among others, but he didn’t want to overdo it.

“We never went crazy with the weight. All the exercises were the kind of exercises that help you to heal and prepare your body. And from that point on, you can increase what you are asking from your muscles,” Huerta told Men’s Health.

Since Namor happens to be the ruler of an underwater kingdom, his routine also included a lot of swimming. When asked if he can swim before being cast, Huerta jokingly said “I’ve never drowned before!” but he couldn’t have predicted what was coming. He had to swim for hours on set and do grueling 90-minute pool sessions, in addition to his regular training.

Monica Barbaro got her big break starring in Top Gun: Maverick as Lieutenant Natasha “Phoenix” Trace, the franchise’s first female fighter pilot. She took on the role of one of the film’s most formidable new characters, but how exactly did she prepare for this role?

Barbaro told Glamour that Tom Cruise developed an intense training program that turned into an amazing bonding experience for the Top Gun: Maverick cast. It included 40 hours of flight training, but the swim training proved to be the most grueling part.

“Everyone did a ton of swim training in case you have to eject over water. It’s not just swimming; you get pushed off this high-rise and have to fall in the pool and unstrap your parachute…I did extra swimming because I was really nervous about that,” revealed Barbaro.

Even though the training was pretty terrifying, the breakout star also said she had a lot of fun. It helped her realize she’s an adrenaline junkie and she overcame some big fears along the way.

Some parts of the grueling flight and water survival training even proved to be easier for Barbaro than her male co-stars. Before turning to acting, she graduated from NYU’s BFA dance program and developed “high pain tolerance” that came in handy during intense flight sequences.

David Beckham’s soccer-playing days may be long behind him, but that doesn’t mean his fitness routine is no longer impressive. The iconic English athlete is still fully dedicated to his workouts, and he’s staying fit thanks to the high-intensity circuit program at the gym chain F45.

Beckham joined forces with the celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to design a class based on the training methods he used to stay in shape. It consists of 11 moves, each done for 2 sets for 2 rounds, and even Beckham himself admits that the workout is super-intense.

“I could never keep up with the level of the workouts I was doing when I was playing professional football… Some of these movements, I haven’t done them since I was a player. So when I was in the London studio doing this … at the end, I said, ‘I need to apologize to everyone that was in this class with me’ because it was so hard,” the soccer icon told Men’s Health.

Beckham also told the magazine that he’s tried cycling, lifting, and many other workout routines since retiring from professional football in 2013. He decided to go back to the gym because he’s not good at training on his own and needs a community environment to feel motivated.

Lily James knocked us off our feet with her spot-on transformation into Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s mini-series Pam & Tommy. The British actress did a great job copying the Baywatch star’s iconic look, and none of that would be possible without the intense workout that she committed to.

James’ trainer Matt Bevan recently discussed her routine with Vogue, and it seems she really went all-in when it came to physically transforming into Anderson. They worked together for four months, and James often had to tune in for virtual workouts at 5:30 in the morning or after a 16-hour day on set.

They usually did four to five workouts a week, focusing on basic exercises with standard equipment because James was training remotely. Light dumbbells, resistance bands, sliding discs, and towels are some of the equipment pieces she used in the beginning, but the routine became more grueling along the way.

She later switched to full-body strength, circuit-based workouts, which increased her strength and aerobic conditioning. Bevan help James develop lean muscle with such moves as banded deadlifts and kettlebell goblet squats, and he praised her commitment to this intense routine.

“Lily’s words, not mine, were that she went from ‘zero to hero’ when it comes to exercise. All I asked when we began was that she did the best she could and she turned up time after time with the best intention to work hard and give it her all,” Bevan told Vogue.

Eva Longoria is the latest star to sit down with Women’s Health for their cover story and give us a close look at her workout routine and eating habits. From trampoline workouts to intermittent fasting, here’s how she’s staying happy and healthy.

The Desperate Housewives star has been doing mini trampoline workouts for quite some time and she swears by online classes created by a New York trampoline studio The Ness.

“It makes me present. You really have to focus on the routine and memorize the movements. They switch sides a lot, which can throw you off, so you have to be on top of it. I love that,” the actress told Women’s Health.

Longoria’s workout for the day isn’t done after 30 or 45 minutes of bouncing on the trampoline. She tends to round her hour with strength training, but she also enjoys everything from kettlebell flow classes to yoga and meditation. Her priority is to get her body moving every day, even if it’s just stretching or going for a walk.

As for her diet, Longoria is one of many Hollywood stars who embraced the practice of intermittent fasting, and she usually eats within an eight-hour window between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Her diet includes a lot of veggies and protein, such as steak, fish, or chicken, but she’s trying to add more plant-based ingredients to her diet. As for her guilty pleasures, Longoria isn’t a fan of sweets or chocolate, but she can’t resist pretzels, popcorn, and potato chips.

From releasing new music to starring in several high-profile movies, Jennifer Lopez will be on fire in 2022, and these projects aren’t the only thing keeping her busy. She recently shared a sneak peek at her fitness routine and it turns out her workouts are as intense as it gets.

J. Lo kicked the year off by sharing a brief video titled “On My Way to A Better Me! A Peek at My 2022 Workout Routine” on her YouTube channel. It’s choreographed to the beat of her song “On My Way (Marry Me)” and it features a montage of her workout routine that will truly make you sweat.

The brief video shows Lopez performing a series of different moves, from biceps curls and reverse crunches to chest flies and lateral raises. When it comes to equipment pieces, she uses everything from dumbbells and weighted machines to a Louis Vuitton punching bag to take her fitness routine to the next level.

Lopez didn’t share many details about her routine in this brief video, and it’s still unclear for how long and how frequently she hits the gym. Since she doesn’t share workout videos on her YouTube too often, we can’t help but wonder if she’s plotting any fitness-related collaborations in 2022 since we would welcome them with open arms.

Chris Hemsworth spent over a decade playing Thor so we thought his workouts couldn’t get any more intense than they already are, but he proved us wrong. He recently shared a part of his workout routine for Extraction 2, and he really took things to a whole new level while training for this film.

The Australian actor joined forces with his trainer Luke Zocchi and shared a 10-minute bodyweight workout that he swears by. He’s using this routine to prepare for the role of a black-ops mercenary Tyler Rake in the sequel of the Netflix action-thriller Extraction.

The workout consists of 40 seconds of several different types of exercises, including mountain climbers, bodyweight squats, plank shoulder taps, reverse lunges, and bicycle sit-ups. You can take 20 minutes of rest in between before moving to the next 40-second burst, and repeat all the exercises for another circuit.

Hemsworth tried to perform as many reps as possible during each 40-second frame, but you can take it easy if you try to give his routine a try. This routine marks a major switch for Marvel star, who went from heavy weightlifting to bodyweight workouts to become more flexible and mobile for his next role.

Like most workouts that Hemsworth shares on his channel, this one serves as a promotion for his fitness app Centr, which features workouts created by his own team.

Monica Barbaro got her big break starring in Top Gun: Maverick as Lieutenant Natasha “Phoenix” Trace, the franchise’s first female fighter pilot. She took on the role of one of the film’s most formidable new characters, but how exactly did she prepare for this role?

Barbaro told Glamour that Tom Cruise developed an intense training program that turned into an amazing bonding experience for the Top Gun: Maverick cast. It included 40 hours of flight training, but the swim training proved to be the most grueling part.

“Everyone did a ton of swim training in case you have to eject over water. It’s not just swimming; you get pushed off this high-rise and have to fall in the pool and unstrap your parachute…I did extra swimming because I was really nervous about that,” revealed Barbaro.

Even though the training was pretty terrifying, the breakout star also said she had a lot of fun. It helped her realize she’s an adrenaline junkie and she overcame some big fears along the way.

Some parts of the grueling flight and water survival training even proved to be easier for Barbaro than her male co-stars. Before turning to acting, she graduated from NYU’s BFA dance program and developed “high pain tolerance” that came in handy during intense flight sequences.

David Beckham’s soccer-playing days may be long behind him, but that doesn’t mean his fitness routine is no longer impressive. The iconic English athlete is still fully dedicated to his workouts, and he’s staying fit thanks to the high-intensity circuit program at the gym chain F45.

Beckham joined forces with the celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to design a class based on the training methods he used to stay in shape. It consists of 11 moves, each done for 2 sets for 2 rounds, and even Beckham himself admits that the workout is super-intense.

“I could never keep up with the level of the workouts I was doing when I was playing professional football… Some of these movements, I haven’t done them since I was a player. So when I was in the London studio doing this … at the end, I said, ‘I need to apologize to everyone that was in this class with me’ because it was so hard,” the soccer icon told Men’s Health.

Beckham also told the magazine that he’s tried cycling, lifting, and many other workout routines since retiring from professional football in 2013. He decided to go back to the gym because he’s not good at training on his own and needs a community environment to feel motivated.

Lily James knocked us off our feet with her spot-on transformation into Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s mini-series Pam & Tommy. The British actress did a great job copying the Baywatch star’s iconic look, and none of that would be possible without the intense workout that she committed to.

James’ trainer Matt Bevan recently discussed her routine with Vogue, and it seems she really went all-in when it came to physically transforming into Anderson. They worked together for four months, and James often had to tune in for virtual workouts at 5:30 in the morning or after a 16-hour day on set.

They usually did four to five workouts a week, focusing on basic exercises with standard equipment because James was training remotely. Light dumbbells, resistance bands, sliding discs, and towels are some of the equipment pieces she used in the beginning, but the routine became more grueling along the way.

She later switched to full-body strength, circuit-based workouts, which increased her strength and aerobic conditioning. Bevan help James develop lean muscle with such moves as banded deadlifts and kettlebell goblet squats, and he praised her commitment to this intense routine.

“Lily’s words, not mine, were that she went from ‘zero to hero’ when it comes to exercise. All I asked when we began was that she did the best she could and she turned up time after time with the best intention to work hard and give it her all,” Bevan told Vogue.

Eva Longoria is the latest star to sit down with Women’s Health for their cover story and give us a close look at her workout routine and eating habits. From trampoline workouts to intermittent fasting, here’s how she’s staying happy and healthy.

The Desperate Housewives star has been doing mini trampoline workouts for quite some time and she swears by online classes created by a New York trampoline studio The Ness.

“It makes me present. You really have to focus on the routine and memorize the movements. They switch sides a lot, which can throw you off, so you have to be on top of it. I love that,” the actress told Women’s Health.

Longoria’s workout for the day isn’t done after 30 or 45 minutes of bouncing on the trampoline. She tends to round her hour with strength training, but she also enjoys everything from kettlebell flow classes to yoga and meditation. Her priority is to get her body moving every day, even if it’s just stretching or going for a walk.

As for her diet, Longoria is one of many Hollywood stars who embraced the practice of intermittent fasting, and she usually eats within an eight-hour window between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Her diet includes a lot of veggies and protein, such as steak, fish, or chicken, but she’s trying to add more plant-based ingredients to her diet. As for her guilty pleasures, Longoria isn’t a fan of sweets or chocolate, but she can’t resist pretzels, popcorn, and potato chips.

From releasing new music to starring in several high-profile movies, Jennifer Lopez will be on fire in 2022, and these projects aren’t the only thing keeping her busy. She recently shared a sneak peek at her fitness routine and it turns out her workouts are as intense as it gets.

J. Lo kicked the year off by sharing a brief video titled “On My Way to A Better Me! A Peek at My 2022 Workout Routine” on her YouTube channel. It’s choreographed to the beat of her song “On My Way (Marry Me)” and it features a montage of her workout routine that will truly make you sweat.

The brief video shows Lopez performing a series of different moves, from biceps curls and reverse crunches to chest flies and lateral raises. When it comes to equipment pieces, she uses everything from dumbbells and weighted machines to a Louis Vuitton punching bag to take her fitness routine to the next level.

Lopez didn’t share many details about her routine in this brief video, and it’s still unclear for how long and how frequently she hits the gym. Since she doesn’t share workout videos on her YouTube too often, we can’t help but wonder if she’s plotting any fitness-related collaborations in 2022 since we would welcome them with open arms.

Chris Hemsworth spent over a decade playing Thor so we thought his workouts couldn’t get any more intense than they already are, but he proved us wrong. He recently shared a part of his workout routine for Extraction 2, and he really took things to a whole new level while training for this film.

The Australian actor joined forces with his trainer Luke Zocchi and shared a 10-minute bodyweight workout that he swears by. He’s using this routine to prepare for the role of a black-ops mercenary Tyler Rake in the sequel of the Netflix action-thriller Extraction.

The workout consists of 40 seconds of several different types of exercises, including mountain climbers, bodyweight squats, plank shoulder taps, reverse lunges, and bicycle sit-ups. You can take 20 minutes of rest in between before moving to the next 40-second burst, and repeat all the exercises for another circuit.

Hemsworth tried to perform as many reps as possible during each 40-second frame, but you can take it easy if you try to give his routine a try. This routine marks a major switch for Marvel star, who went from heavy weightlifting to bodyweight workouts to become more flexible and mobile for his next role.

Like most workouts that Hemsworth shares on his channel, this one serves as a promotion for his fitness app Centr, which features workouts created by his own team.
