Gaining weight is just as hard, or sometimes even harder, than losing weight if you want to do it the healthy way. But what exactly does that mean, and how can gaining weight be healthy? As we explain the various differences, we’ll reveal a few things you can do to gain healthy weight.

Exercise

Working out is a great way to build more muscle mass and gain weight the healthy way, and strength training is particularly good for gaining muscles. Exercising, of course, comes with many other health benefits and, among other things, it can help improve appetite.

Add More Calories

The best way to gain weight is to add calories to your diet, so try to eat more high-calorie foods such as rice, meat, nuts and nut butter. These foods are high in calories but still healthy so you don’t have to worry about compromising your diet.

Eat More Often

People who don’t have appetite could benefit from eating more frequently. Consider incorporating five or six smaller meals into your day, including a few snacks, instead of just eating two or three large meals.

Snacks

The easiest way to add calories to diet is to snack two or three times every day. Peanut butter, avocado, hummus or nuts are all super healthy snacks that are also high in calories.
