In the past few years, there has been something of a movement in favor of women learning how to properly fit their bras so that they can enjoy the support of a bra that fits well. But this movement usually focuses on normal, underwire bras. So what about sports bras? How should they fit? Here are some ways you can know that your sports bra fits you correctly.

The Band Doesn’t Ride Up

If the band of your sports bra tends to go up your back when you move, it’s probably too large.

You Don’t Get Red Marks

Alternatively, if your sports bra band digs into your body so much that you usually have red marks on your torso when you remove it, that’s a good sign that you need to go up a size.

Your Cups Don’t Have Too Much or Too Little Room

If your breasts are spilling out of your sports bra cups or you have lots of extra room in the cups, it’s a good sign your sports bra does not fit.

You Feel No Pain or Discomfort When Moving

Different people want different levels of support from their sports bra, so this applies to whatever activity you plan to do when you wear your bra. As long as you feel properly supported, with no pain or discomfort when moving around and working out, your sports bra fits well.
