Outdoor gyms are rising in popularity in the era of social distancing, but you should still stay alert when training in one. Here’s a couple of hygiene measures you should take if you decide to take your workout routine to an outdoor gym.

Disinfect Your Area

It’s possible that the person working out before you already disinfected the machines you’re going to be using, but you can never know for sure. That’s why you should always wipe everything down before starting your workout routine.

Proper Clean-Up

Don’t leave anything behind after you’re done with your sweat session. Properly clean-up after yourself by wiping down the machines you’ve been using, and thoroughly wash your hands before heading back home.

Don’t Touch Your Face

You’ve already heard these words countless times in the last few months, but they’re worth repeating—don’t touch your face. This is recommended in general, because it may lead to breakouts, clogged pores, and infections even when there’s no global pandemic lurking around.
