When discussing tips for working out, they generally fall into the realm of rigorous activities. Whether it be pushups, jumping jacks, or intensive team sports, they require a lot of effort to get done. There are obvious benefits to exercising with this level of intensity, but not everyone has the capability of doing it right off the bat. In fact, for many people, the best (and only) exercise they should be starting with is simply walking.

Walking Is Underrated

Many people, and perhaps even those in the fitness community, underestimate just how effective walking can be. One certainly burns calories and strengthens while doing it, albeit not as quickly. But that’s just the thing. It doesn’t matter how fast one is achieving their goal, as long as they’re on the road and enjoying it.

Staying True To The Path

If one is less able to engage in more intense cardio, they may be discouraged after going too hard too fast. It’s incredibly common for someone to start working out and quickly give it up because the workout was too intense. But when a person starts with something easier, such as walking, they’ll enjoy it more. And they’ll be more inclined to stick to it their routine, which is the most important thing at the end of the day.
