Throat feeling a tad scratchy? Welcome to the club. Winter may be pretty, but it brings with it a bunch of ailments that we could rather do without. Colds and flu tend to thrive in cold weather and don’t forget about other respiratory viruses like RSV and COVID.

With so many people experiencing sore throats at the moment, it was only a matter of time before health hacks began showing up on social media. We’ve all learned a beauty trick or two from TikTok, so why not try the latest sore throat remedy?

Content creators have been making Jell-O tea, which sounds ridiculous, but actually has some science to back it up.

The gelatin from the Jell-O coats your esophagus, honey has antibacterial properties, and staying hydrated is essential when you aren’t well. So if you have an irritated throat, make some tea with your flavor of choice!
