Outdoor workouts come with a long list of benefits, but it’s difficult to enjoy them when you’re dealing with a heatwave. If you don’t want to give them up, you can still find a way to enjoy them to the fullest by picking the perfect time to do them.

Morning Workouts

Morning workouts come with a long list of benefits and they’re your best bet during hot summer months. To avoid high midday and mid-afternoon temperatures, set your alarm early and complete your workout as soon as you get up to avoid the heat—and the crowds.

Evening Workouts

If you’re not an early bird and want to avoid morning workouts at all costs, training late in the evening is your best bet. Wait until the sun goes down because the temperature will be significantly lower in the late evening and you’ll be able to get a more effective workout.

Shorter Sessions

If you’re struggling to find time to train early in the morning or late in the evening, find some shade and make your sessions shorter. By doing so, you’ll reduce the amount of time you’re exposed to the sun, and you can even consider splitting your workout into smaller sessions if you don’t want to be outside for too long.
