Chris Hemsworth is constantly sharing his workout videos with the world and they’re always worth waiting for. In one of his latest workout videos, the Marvel actor recommended using super sets to take your workout routine to the next level.

If you’re trying to copy the actor’s routine, he says it’s a good idea to “super set your weighted exercise with a bodyweight movement to ramp up the intensity on your next session”. He listed all the exercises he included in his routine, with 20-second breaks in between.

Needless to say, Hemsworth’s workout is as intense as it gets and it includes everything from push-ups and burpees to floor presses and skull crushers. Most exercises are performed with a heavy set of dumbbells and he listed the exact number of reps for each exercise for those brave enough to copy his routine. As always, this routine is available through his Centr health and fitness app.

Ramping up the intensity isn’t the only useful advantage of doing super sets. It’s also perfect for people with a busy schedule because it can shorten the time you’re spending on a workout. It can also help your body burn more fat and calories by keeping your heart rate up.

Chris Hemsworth spent over a decade playing Thor so we thought his workouts couldn’t get any more intense than they already are, but he proved us wrong. He recently shared a part of his workout routine for Extraction 2, and he really took things to a whole new level while training for this film.

The Australian actor joined forces with his trainer Luke Zocchi and shared a 10-minute bodyweight workout that he swears by. He’s using this routine to prepare for the role of a black-ops mercenary Tyler Rake in the sequel of the Netflix action-thriller Extraction.

The workout consists of 40 seconds of several different types of exercises, including mountain climbers, bodyweight squats, plank shoulder taps, reverse lunges, and bicycle sit-ups. You can take 20 minutes of rest in between before moving to the next 40-second burst, and repeat all the exercises for another circuit.

Hemsworth tried to perform as many reps as possible during each 40-second frame, but you can take it easy if you try to give his routine a try. This routine marks a major switch for Marvel star, who went from heavy weightlifting to bodyweight workouts to become more flexible and mobile for his next role.

Like most workouts that Hemsworth shares on his channel, this one serves as a promotion for his fitness app Centr, which features workouts created by his own team.

That’s especially the case with the role of Thor, and the Australian actor is ready to share the workout plan that helped him transform into the God of Thunder.

Back in 2019, Hemsworth and the members of his team started the fitness app called Centr. He recently discussed his approach to fitness in the cover story for the Australian edition of Men’s Health and shared a motivational trick that keeps him grounded.

The MCU superstar doesn’t believe you should commit to a certain routine just because it’s popular. It’s much more important to be an explorer in the world of fitness, and be on the lookout for fresh new activities that you enjoy doing.

“I speak to plenty of people who are like, ‘Oh, I just hate training’. I’m like, ‘What do you do?’ ‘Oh, I just run. But I just don’t like running’. I’m like, ‘Don’t run then!’ I don’t run. I do a lot of different things,” explained Hemsworth.

The Thor actor also admitted that he doesn’t enjoy taking a break from training for prolonged periods of time. Hemsworth doesn’t feel good when he stops working out because his “body shuts down”, and he often has to deal with aches, inflammation, and stiff back.

This doesn’t mean he can’t do without hardcore workouts that prepared him for the role of Thor. He simply wants to keep moving because it allows him to live healthier and happier.

Have you ever had trouble getting into the zone when trying to meditate? Well, maybe Chris Hemsworth can help you out. The Thor actor just introduced a mini-series of mini-meditations that he describes as “Affirmations That Positively, Absolutely, Probably (Most Likely) Won’t Make Your 2020 Worse.”

In the mini-series, we get a bit of the actor’s sense of humor as he struggles to meditate while dealing with thoughts, distractions, and the reality of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of the “affirmations” is a one-minute-long meditation with somewhat serious lines like “Allow my soothing baritones to wash over you,” and funny titles like “Inhale possibility, not bugs,” and “Balancing It All. Sort Of.”

Like many of us, Hemsworth tries to focus while being distracted by the things around him like his son swimming in the water as he meditates at the bottom of the pool, kids yelling and a cute, fluffy dog appearing while he sits on a rock meditating in a river, and getting bitten by bugs while sitting in a field of pink flowers.

The affirmations are to promote Hemsworth’s health and fitness app, Centr, which actually has affirmations.

Chris Hemsworth has starred in some of the most physically demanding movies of the decade, so we all know that he has a pretty crazy fitness routine, but the Australian actor still managed to surprise us with the video of his Devil’s Burn workout.

Hemsworth shared a clip working out alongside his personal trainer Luke Zocchi, and described it as a “punchy little circuit,” but brutal would be a better word to describe it. The entire routine consists of a total of six moves, which utilize several pieces of equipment, such as a deadlift, a kettlebell, and a Bosu ball.

In addition to being demanding on their own, these moves have to be performed without breaks between individual reps. Fortunately, you can get some rest after each round – but it only lasts for one minute.

If you want to give Devil’s Burn a try, you’re going to perform six reps of the following moves, and repeat the routine until you reach a total of six rounds.

  1. Deadlift Press to Triceps Extension
  2. TRX Inverted Row
  3. Kettlebell Lunge to Press
  4. Ring Pullups
  5. Bosu Ball Banded Squat
  6. Med Ball Slam
