Getting fresh air within the first hour of waking up is something you may not want to do. Most people enjoy having a slow morning. Fresh air can change how your entire day unfolds. Here’s why getting out of your house and into the fresh air can be more beneficial than you might realize.

Get Alert

Studies have claimed that fresh air right when you wake up can rejuvenate your mind and improve alertness. This is because breathing in fresh air increases the amount of oxygen we take in. In addition, walking outside increases the feeling of mental clarity—even sitting out in fresh air can also help.

Move Your Body

Although going for a walk can help more than just sitting in the fresh air because you are actively moving your body. No one says it needs to be a long walk. Just five minutes can do. In addition, studies have shown that people who spend more time outside and in nature have a higher cognitive function than those who do not.

Feel Happy

Fresh air can also help improve your immune system. This is because fresh air helps in reducing stress and depression. Breathing in fresh air reduces our stress hormones and helps boost our mood. Studies have shown that if you get out in fresh air within the first hour after waking up, your mood can be improved by 30%.

Walking not only has physical benefits to it but also greatly helps with your mental health. Over the years, research has shown that walking daily can help improve and reduce mental health symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Here are a few ways that walking can help improve your mental health.

Improves Your Overall Mood

Walking daily helps release endorphins into your body, which allows you to unwind and relax. Going for a walk in the first hour after you wake up can improve your overall mood and thoughts throughout the day.

Boosts Your Energy

Walking daily helps to promote blood flow, especially in your muscles and brain. This increase in blood flow helps you feel more energized throughout the day.

Helps Reduce Stress and Anxiety

The endorphins that are released when you walk can lower stress levels. Being physically active helps reduce the risk of clinical depression. This is because natural light and air can help quiet your mind and make you feel more in control of your emotions.

Improves Your Sleep

Regular exercise can help improve your sleep patterns and even allow you to enter deeper sleep.

When discussing tips for working out, they generally fall into the realm of rigorous activities. Whether it be pushups, jumping jacks, or intensive team sports, they require a lot of effort to get done. There are obvious benefits to exercising with this level of intensity, but not everyone has the capability of doing it right off the bat. In fact, for many people, the best (and only) exercise they should be starting with is simply walking.

Walking Is Underrated

Many people, and perhaps even those in the fitness community, underestimate just how effective walking can be. One certainly burns calories and strengthens while doing it, albeit not as quickly. But that’s just the thing. It doesn’t matter how fast one is achieving their goal, as long as they’re on the road and enjoying it.

Staying True To The Path

If one is less able to engage in more intense cardio, they may be discouraged after going too hard too fast. It’s incredibly common for someone to start working out and quickly give it up because the workout was too intense. But when a person starts with something easier, such as walking, they’ll enjoy it more. And they’ll be more inclined to stick to it their routine, which is the most important thing at the end of the day.

Walking should be a part of everyone’s daily routine, and you can turn this activity into a fun and intense workout. That’s exactly the idea behind Emi Wong’s latest walking cardio workout which can give you an amazing calorie burn in just 30 minutes.

With almost five million subscribers, Wong is one of YouTube’s leading fitness influencers, and she rocks our world with each workout she shares on her channel. She always makes sure that her workouts are apartment-friendly, and that also happens to be the case with her walking cardio video.

She recommends doing it when you’re watching TV or when it’s too cold, too crowded, or too polluted outside so you don’t feel like leaving the comfort of your home. This workout seems easy at first, but Wong says you shouldn’t underestimate it because it will get you all sweaty and give you a full-body fat burn.

There are 30 exercises included in this workout, arranged into 40-second sets with 15-minute transitions. In addition to regular walking moves, you’ll also have to perform air punches, arm lifts, ankle taps, standing bike crunches, and all sorts of different exercises that will make this seemingly-easy workout ultra-intense.

Do Virtual Walking Events
