Trying Just One New Thing Can Be Great for Fitness Motivation

Mixing it up and trying new things is one of the oldest motivational tricks in the book, but most people think they have to completely revamp their workout routine to do that. In reality, trying just one new thing is all it takes to get the motivational boost you need.

Baby Steps

Most people are afraid of big changes, but they can be made one step at a time. For example, if you’re thinking of adding yoga to your workout schedule, but aren’t sure if it’s the right fit, just learn a simple pose or two and see how you like it.

Just the Beginning

Trying one new thing is a great motivational tool because it will inspire you to keep on going. After mastering one new exercise, you’ll want to learn a couple of more, and this will allow you to always keep adding new things to what you already know.

New Appreciation

Trying new things is all fun and games, but it doesn’t automatically mean you’ll like them and find joy in them. Even if the new routine you tried isn’t what you’re looking for, it may give you a new appreciation for your current workout program—and that’s still a victory.
