5 Fitness Trends That Will Continue After Lockdown

Within the past few weeks, more and more gyms have reopened, but the way people workout changed significantly during the lockdown. Many of the ways people exercise are expected to continue long past the coronavirus. What have your at-home workouts looked like? Have you been doing any of these workout trends?

Virtual Training

Virtual training allows you to have the convenience of workout out whenever it fits into your schedule and you don’t even have to leave your home! Minimal equipment is required and all you need are dumbbells, a kettlebell, and some bands.

Yoga For Mental Health

Yoga can help you deal with the stress and anxiety going on around you while allowing you become more flexible and stronger.

Group Training

With human contact being extremely limited during the coronavirus, it makes sense that people are craving social connections through group training classes. These classes are offered both online and in person at parks, camps, and studios.

Instagram Live Fitness

In addition to Zoom, Instagram Live has become the go-to place for group fitness and personal training workouts. It allows you to feel a part of a community without actually being physically connected.

HIIT

High intensity training (HIIT) allows you to get an intense workout in a short period of time and it’s easy to adapt at-home. You don’t need any equipment and it works well for various athletic levels. It’s expected that people who have started doing HIIT during lockdown, will continue once restrictions are lifted.
