We’re already three weeks into January and by now, many of us have lost track of our health and fitness goals. Whether you committed to running a 5K or to including more fruits and vegetables into your diet, just because you forgot about your goals doesn’t mean you can’t get back on track. Here are four steps to help you recommit to your New Year’s resolutions.
Re-Motivate Yourself
Think about the reason you made your resolutions in the first place and use it as a way to re-motivate yourself.
Make a Step-by-Step Plan
One of the most common reasons people don’t stick to their goals is that they didn’t have an action plan set up for reaching them. Start by setting up a weekly plan revolving around ways to reach your goals.
Find an Accountability Partner
A partner that’s working toward a similar goal will make it easier to stay accountable to your goals. Find a family member or friend who is trying to commit to the same goals and set up challenges with them for reaching the goal.
Track Your Progress
Celebrating each and every milestone towards reaching your goals can help you commit to them. No victory is too small to celebrate!
