Coffee is more popular than it’s ever been in society. Artisanal breweries are everywhere you turn, ice coffee maestros are making names for themselves, and baristas are getting better than ever at foam artwork. However, as delicious as it is, coffee is still something that should be consumed in moderation—which is why it’s important to drink a cup of this alongside it.

A Cup of Water

In Europe, it’s quite common to be served a small cup of water with your cappuccino. There’s a good reason for this. It’s a known fact that coffee dehydrates you, and therefore it’s logical that you should stay hydrated by sipping water with your coffee.

It’s a Game Changer

When you sip water in between sips of coffee, you start to notice a lot more about the coffee you’re drinking. You start to appreciate its flavor more, but you also gain a deep understanding of how it’s affecting your body. When you drink coffee on its own, you start to forget about your body’s reaction after the first sip or two. But by drinking water with it, there’s a constant sense of freshness and awareness. In short, it keeps you aware of both how tasty and strong your coffee is.
