Dark Chocolate

According to several studies, chocolate eaters have a lower risk of heart diseases compared to non-chocolate eaters. More specifically, chocolate is good for lowering bad cholesterol levels and improving blood clotting function. But typical chocolate is loaded with sugar and empty calories, so make sure to eat dark chocolate that is rich in antioxidants like flavonoids, with a cocoa content of at least 70%.

With the arrival of spring and summer, many people take advantage of sunny weather to exercise outside, with running being one of their favorite outside workouts. Vary Your Exercise Routine 

This will help you prevent overusing the knees. The best alternative for running is swimming. 

Wear Good Shoes 

Invest in a pair of good sneakers or orthotic shoe inserts and try to run on tartan or ground instead of concrete. 

Fix Your Weak Spots 

Don’t forget to do some proprioceptive exercises which will strengthen your tendons. 

Try Beef Gelatine  

Some beef gelatine can do wonders for your cartilage. Put it in a cool liquid, then slowly heat it to dissolve gelatine crystals.

Greek Salad

Heart disease is a leading cause of death worldwide, but research shows it can be prevented by making simple lifestyle changes and adding certain foods that protect cardiovascular health into our daily menu.  

Here are some essential foods for a healthy heart. 

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

These acids can decrease triglyceride levels, provide good cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and the risk of arrhythmias, and slow the growth of plaque along artery walls. You can find omega-3 fatty acids in tuna, sardines, salmon, walnuts, oysters, herring, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and chia seeds. 

Avocados

Avocados are full of powerful antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and they’re especially high in potassium and monounsaturated fats. Eating a half avocado per day will help you lower bad cholesterol levels while increasing the levels of the good one, which contributes to optimal heart health. 

Dark Chocolate

According to several studies, chocolate eaters have a lower risk of heart diseases compared to non-chocolate eaters. More specifically, chocolate is good for lowering bad cholesterol levels and improving blood clotting function. But typical chocolate is loaded with sugar and empty calories, so make sure to eat dark chocolate that is rich in antioxidants like flavonoids, with a cocoa content of at least 70%.

With the arrival of spring and summer, many people take advantage of sunny weather to exercise outside, with running being one of their favorite outside workouts. Although running has countless benefits for our entire bodies, there are some typical injuries that can occur no matter if you’re just a casual jogger or a long-distance runner, and one of them is runner’s knee, a painful injury of the knee cartilage. The symptoms include a dull, aching pain under or behind the kneecap and a swelling or grinding sensations in the knee.  

Here are 5 tips on how to prevent it. 

Take it Easy  

Have a thorough warm-up before taking a run and always stretch afterward. This injury is usually caused by overuse of the knee.

Vary Your Exercise Routine 

This will help you prevent overusing the knees. The best alternative for running is swimming. 

Wear Good Shoes 

Invest in a pair of good sneakers or orthotic shoe inserts and try to run on tartan or ground instead of concrete. 

Fix Your Weak Spots 

Don’t forget to do some proprioceptive exercises which will strengthen your tendons. 

Try Beef Gelatine  

Some beef gelatine can do wonders for your cartilage. Put it in a cool liquid, then slowly heat it to dissolve gelatine crystals.

Greek Salad   

This salad comes from the Balkans and the Mediterranean. It’s made by chopping and mixing tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions with feta cheese and olives. This light salad should be simply dressed with olive oil and seasoned with oregano. It’s really healthy and nutritious, considering that the cheese adds protein to it.

It’s that time of the year again and it’s time to hit the beaches showing our gains during the winter and spring. The muscle that makes our arms stand out the most is definitely our biceps. Dumbbell Biceps Curl

When it comes to classic exercises you can’t possibly do without the dumbbell biceps curl.
