Whether you enjoy running on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike, this workout trend is all about associating these activities with things that you enjoy and shifting focus on them, instead of putting too much pressure on yourself to reach certain fitness goals.

Cozy cardio is all about motivation, and it means different things to different people. Some will embrace it by hitting the gym in a new set of workout clothes or eating their favorite pre-workout snack, while others will redecorate their workout area at home and create a brand-new playlist.

This concept is certainly nothing new, but it experienced a huge rise in popularity thanks to Hope Zuckerbrow, whose “cozy cardio” post gained millions of likes on TikTok.

“I realized I needed to heal my relationship with exercise. Exercise wasn’t fun anymore, and I was only moving to lose weight, not to feel good or be healthy. I wanted to spark joy when it came to movement,” Zuckerbrow told CNN Health.
