Fresh Juice is Simply Not Good For You or Your Diet

We all know that fruits are full of vitamins, and it may seem logical to drink freshly squeezed juice in order to get more of the good stuff in less time, but this logic is deeply flawed. In fact, juice is not as healthy as you may believe and you shouldn’t be drinking it at all.

Freshly squeezed juice is only slightly healthier than a glass of sugary water. That’s because juicing the fruits leaves behind everything that’s actually useful, like seeds, peel, and fiber. Also, you’ll need to consume more fruit through juice to feel full compared to eating the same fruit. For example, a single orange has around 45 calories and it’s often enough for an in-between meals snack. To fill a regular glass with orange juice you’ll need 3 pieces of orange, which means triple the calories and it’s not even filling. Additionally, you will throw out everything that’s good for you in orange.

Think of this the next time you crave some fresh juice and eat a piece of fruit or two instead.
