When it comes to staying healthy, it’s common to have a “cheat day”. If you’re not sure what that is, well it’s actually pretty simple. Most people aren’t robots after all, so even though a person may have refined a solid routine of healthy eating, they still require a “cheat day” to eat something unhealthy. In a weird, seemingly counter-intuitive kind of way, it’s actually healthy to have an unhealthy cheat day. But here’s how to do it right.

How To Do a Cheat Day Right

Cheat days aren’t exactly easy to navigate. If you’re someone who really struggles with eating unhealthy foods, you may want to tread lightly. This is because it can be incredibly hard to have self-control when exposed to foods you used to eat a lot of. In many ways, it can be a trigger to past years, and you can find yourself slipping into following days that aren’t supposed to be “cheat days”.

This is why it’s important to be vigilant even on your cheat days. Honestly, you should call it a “cheat meal”, because cheat day may make you feel like anything goes within this 24-hour period. You’ve worked hard to find a healthy routine, and it would be a shame to throw it all away on a mere technicality. Have a meal where you eat a tasty dessert or something else you consider “cheating”. But once that’s done, back to things as usual!
