Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most gorgeous women in the world. With a slew of movie roles and numerous appearances on red carpets, the starlet is very much in the public eye. But despite all the attention placed on her, Lawrence says she will not sacrifice her health in order to meet Hollywood’s standards of beauty.

While chatting with Viola Davis during an interview on Variety’s Actors on Actor, the two-time Oscar winner recalled her role in 2012’s The Hunger Games.

As the series’ lead, Lawrence was asked by producers about how much weight she planned to lose. Although the character of Katniss Everdeen was meant to be thin and under-nourished, Lawrence refused to diet for the role.

“Along with me being young and growing and not able to be on a diet, I don’t know if I want all of the girls who are going to dress up as Katniss to feel like they can’t because they’re not a certain weight,” the 32-year-old actress said. “And I can’t let that seep into my brain either.”

The Don’t Look Up star previously declared that while she does exercise, she doesn’t believe in being hungry, and feels strongly about promoting body positivity to young girls.
