Spring is almost here and many of us are going to be thinking about taking our workouts outside pretty soon. While outdoor workouts are awesome and extremely beneficial, we all have to do our best to stay safe, especially women. Here are a few useful tips that can help you stay safe outside.

Bring a Buddy

Going for a walk or run alone at night is scary for most women because they don’t feel safe, which is totally normal. However, inviting a friend or a training partner is a good way to stay safe during your walk or a run, and it’ll also make your workouts more fun.

Mix Up Your Routine

Changing your workout routine every once in a while is also a useful tip for reducing your chances of being targeted. Running a new route every day, for example, is a good way to increase your safety but also to make workouts more fun.

Mute the Music

We know that listening to music is one of the best ways to push yourself through a tough workout. However, turning off the music, or at least keeping the volume low, is pretty important if you want to increase your safety while working out alone outside.

Always Carry Your Phone

Needless to say that you want to bring your phone with you every time you go outside to exercise and to always let someone know where you are.
