Start on your back and place your legs through the ring, where it rests a couple of inches above your knees. With your feet flat on the mat, hip-width apart, carefully roll your body up to a bridge. Squeeze the glutes at the top and flare the knees. Repeat 10 times.
Start by lying on your back, and place the ring between your knees. Keep your hands behind your head. Legs start at tabletop position, and as you crunch up, extend one leg up to 45 degrees and double squeeze the ring. Bend your legs back to tabletop position, lower the head and neck, and repeat. ]]>Cardio is fun, great for torching calories, and probably the most convenient type of workout to do at home. However, you shouldn’t skip strength training because it’s equally beneficial and important.
This is a common beginner mistake you should avoid because warming up muscles will prepare your body for workouts and reduce the chance of potential injuries.
Working out alone means that you need to create a workout program that will help you reach your goals, because otherwise you’ll just be performing random exercises every day. Luckily, there are plenty of free workout programs online that you can follow, that will help you work all muscle groups.
This is a common mistake and the reason why many people give up on exercising. The best thing about at-home workouts is that you don’t have to worry about other people, so feel free to switch up your workouts whenever you feel bored.

]]>Mini trampolines have become pretty popular even among people who are not big fans of exercising. The reason is that these cute trampolines are a great tool for getting an awesome cardio workout, plus they’re very fun and motivating.
Boxing is another great cardio workout that’s also great for reducing stress and boosting your strength. You don’t need much room to hang a boxing bag and enjoy this sport while blowing off steam every once in a while.
Sliders can be a great addition to your home gym—they’re cheap but very versatile, so you can do a variety of exercises with them.
Jumping rope is also one of those fun activities we used to love as kids, that’s perfect for people who don’t like to exercise. This weighted jump rope will help you get a great cardio workout and have some fun literally anywhere you want.

]]>Raise a stick, weight, or medicine ball over your head and hold it there with both hands for around 20 seconds. Then bend your elbows and repeat for three sets.
Take a weight in each hand or a medicine ball in both and extend your arms straight out in front of you. Keeping your arms straight, lift them up and down 20 times. This will strengthen the muscles and ligaments around your shoulders.
Extend your arms out in front of you and turn your torso to one side and then the other side. Try to keep your shoulders parallel to each other. This will stretch your back and sides. If you like, you can hold a medicine ball in your hands to make this harder.
One of the best ways to keep fit is to keep moving around in your wheelchair between exercises. Try to find enough space to move around in, maybe about 30 square feet.

Find a running route around your local area that will get your heart pumping and give you some fresh air. This can be comforting as you get to know the route, as well as helping your mental health.
While it is not necessary, it’s good to have gym equipment in your house if you can afford it and have the space. The best equipment to have is running machines, rowing machines, or exercise bikes.
A yoga mat will be a great investment. In addition to yoga, it is great for bodyweight exercises, stretching, and meditating.

]]>HIIT (high-intensity interval training) combines intense periods of exercise with short breaks and allows you to burn many calories quickly. It’s especially loved among people who’re trying to lose weight, but it’s also great for anyone who wants to fit in a quick workout in their busy schedule.
The 20-minute HIIT workout we’re sharing below was designed by ACE-certified personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist Lyuda Bouzinova. “If you keep the intensity high throughout the workout, you’ll also get your body into a state of EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), also known as the afterburn effect. That means you’ve revved up your metabolism and you’ll be burning calories long after the workout is over,” she told PopSugar.
Bouzinova suggests you do the workout before eating, as you will feel lighter. Since the workout is short, your muscles will do all the work on their own energy. Warm-up first then do three sets of each of these exercises:
