3 Things You Should Know Before Trying Springboard Pilates

Pilates classes come in many shapes and forms and feature many pieces of equipment that would never cross your mind. Springboard Pilates is a perfect example, and here’s a couple of things you should know before looking for a studio with springboards on their premises.

What?

Springboard is a piece of Pilates equipment that can provide you with the best full-body workout you could possibly ask for. Handles, foot straps, and a roll bar can be attached to the board, and it’s perfect for fans of resistance-based workouts.

Why?

Springboards are pretty versatile once you get the hang of it, and you can try all types of exercises that never crossed your mind before. Pulling springs will keep your muscles under constant tension, leading to major strength and muscle gains, but it’s also great for your balance and flexibility.

Where?

This isn’t one of the most popular forms of Pilates, but if you find a studio that offers it, your instructor will have more time to commit to you since classes tend to be small. You can also install a springboard at your own home gym, just make sure you try it first and know it’s something that suits you.
