She found success in the tech world before making a shift to activewear, after noticing a gap in the market for high-quality, stylish, and affordable workouts clothes.
Often dubbed as “Lululemon dupe”, Halala found major success on social media, and it didn’t take long for its affordable and size-inclusive styles to go viral. TikTok has driven sales of many of the brand’s signature products, including Halala’s Active Dress, which sold over a million piecies for less than $40.
Affordable prices and size-inclusivity aren’t Halala’s only pros. According to their official website, the brand’s activewear is designed with “feel-good fabrics that wear beautifully and move with you every step of the way, blending performance and comfort in every piece.” They’re also committed to mindful production and operate on “a demand-driven inventory model that focuses on producing only what you truly want.”

]]>Girlfriend Collective’s activewear is famously made from recycled water bottles and other materials that would otherwise clog landfills and pollute the Earth, including fishing nets, fabric scraps, and other waste.
“It all starts with post-consumer water bottles that have their labels removed, are crushed into billions of minuscule chips, and then washed until they’re sparkling clean… You get a soft, recycled yarn that eliminates the need for petroleum and diverts water bottles from landfills at the same time,” reads the brand’s official website.
There’s a “sustainability report” attached to each product on Girlfriend Collective’s website, which lists all the recycled materials used to make them. They’re made in various facilities across the globe, but the company’s primary recycling partner is located in Taiwan, while their core sewing partner hails from Vietnam.
Girlfriend Collective’s recycled polyester is BPA-free and they use eco-friendly dyes to color the fabric. They recommend washing your new leggings separately or with similar colors because colors may run at first, due to their unique dyeing process.
