Target has joined forces with many of our favorite brands over the years, and their next collaboration is a real treat for fans of affordable activewear. The retail giant launched a new multi-year strategic partnership with the sportswear brand Champion, spanning apparel, accessories, and sporting goods.
Rick Gomez, Target’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, announced the brand’s partnership with Champion and promised it would offer an on-trend, high-quality, and irresistibly affordable assortment.
“When you combine Champion’s legacy in sportswear with Target’s style authority, the result is something special. We know our consumers love new and differentiated items, and this partnership is all about merging sport, style, and culture in a relevant way that resonates with them,” said Gomez in a press release.
Jamie Salter, founder and CEO of Champion’s parent company Authentic Brands Group, echoed Gomez’s words, adding that this partnership “underscores Champion’s enduring influence and strategic growth as we introduce the brand in a meaningful way through one of the most respected retailers in the market.”
Champion’s Target collection will feature over 500 pieces, offering a blend of modern, classic, and vintage elements. They’ll span stylish apparel, accessories, and sporting goods for adults and kids, and most items will be priced under $40. The first collection will launch at Target’s stores and official website this August.
