Easy Stretches for Relieving Hip Pain

Spending a lot of time sitting during the day can create tension around the hip flexors, which is why we usually feel tightness across the hips. Tight muscles are not only uncomfortable, they can lead to pain and injury, but these easy exercises can help you relieve hip pain.

Reclined Pigeon

Lay on your back with legs bent and arms alongside your body. Lift your right leg and bring your right ankle on your left thigh. Then wrap your arms around your left thigh and start pulling the leg gently. Stay in this pose for two minutes.

Downward-Facing Dog

Begin on your hands and knees, with your wrists underneath your shoulders and your knees underneath your hips. Keep your shoulders stables while you raise your hips high and straighten your legs. Engage your core and take a few deep breaths.

Pigeon Stretch

From the downward-facing dog, bring your right knee just behind your right wrist. Slide your left leg behind you, untuck your toes, and hold for two minutes.
