Gin Yin yoga is the newest exercise craze in the UK and we expect it to hit the United States in no time. This fitness class combines two of our favorite things, yoga and alcohol. Who doesn’t want to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while engaging in some slow-paced yoga? Now, there’s no excuse not to hit the gym. Gin Yin is an hour and a half of classic Yin poses to calm the mind and open up the body, which reduces anxiety and stress. The small amount of gin helps bring a sense of relaxation which allows you to move freely into the yoga poses. If you’re overwhelmed by yoga, this might be just the class for you.

Jamie Rylett an instructor at Yin Gin Yoga said, “Yin Yoga is the ultimate relaxation for the body and mind. The addition of a small amount of gin can help to calm a busy mind, enabling you to relax more deeply into poses and achieve the maximum benefit from the practice.”

The experience in the UK is then continued at a micro-gin distillery and customers can learn about the gin they drank during the class. The evening is completed with a gin and tonic.
