Here’s How Maren Morris Got Into the Best Shape of Her Life

Country star Maren Morris landed the June cover of Women’s Health Magazine and used this opportunity to share her incredible fitness journey.

Morris caught the eye of fashion experts after dropping 20 pounds about a year ago, as a result of a healthy lifestyle change and not a deliberate attempt.

“I’d always worked out really intermittently and done yoga and hot yoga but had never really used a trainer before, and I really wanted to get toned. I didn’t necessarily want to lose weight, I wanted to feel strong, so I definitely do feel strong now, which is nice,” said Morris in her cover story.

The country princess is currently working out with celebrity trainer Erin Oprea, who helped her get into the best shape of her life. She doesn’t stray from her fitness routine when she’s on the road and makes up for lost time by jumping rope and doing side planks, push-ups, squats, and lunges three times a week.

Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft is her fitness inspiration, but that doesn’t mean you’ll see Morris skipping her meals. She knows how important it is to eat right after burning the calories during her shows, and she’s making sure to consume healthy and balanced meals through the day.
