The legendary Angela Bassett is 60! Yes, you read that right – 60. This iconic actress looks so good that you could easily mistake her for a 20-year-old lady. The most interesting thing is that she’s been very open about her diet and fitness secrets and all the tips she has regarding looking so fly.
Angela shared with W Magazine what her diet looks like in a week:
“Monday, Tuesday, I may eat carbs, fruit; Tuesday, Wednesday, protein, veggies—veggies every day—no fats those four days, and then the last three days, I flood it with fat. Good fat, though: maybe coconut oil, salmon, almonds, almond butter, you know, olive oil, that sort of thing. I don’t do any dairy, all right? I don’t do any bread flour. I’ll do Ezekiel bread, which is sprouted.”
When it comes to a fitness routine, Angela Bassett does workout with a personal trainer. Corey Calliet is the pro who helped the actress prepare for her role in Black Panther. He would spend an hour with the star, helping her look as good as she does.
“I like to set up circuits. You do each movement for 30 seconds, then you take a break, get the heart rate down to get it right back up. The reason why I like doing it so much is because it’s the fastest and the most effective way to burn fat.”- Calliet told People.
