If you ask any golfer what was the hardest thing to learn, there is a good chance they will say the TRX swing. Also known as “resistance band golf swing”, the TRX swing dictate how hard you will hit the ball, how far and how straight it will go.

Throughout the entire movement, the swing targets the shoulders, upper back, and core muscles which are involved in most. It is a great exercise for the muscles of the lower body as well; the quads, glutes, and hamstrings will keep your balance.

By doing the TRX golf swing, you can develop a better range of motion, through the upper thoracic spine, shoulders, hips, and ankles. It can help strengthen your core which can reduce back pain, improved balance, and better flexion, extension, and rotation of your trunk.

However, to do this movement properly, it requires flexibility and mobility in your hips and shoulders. If you suffer from any kind of limitations that prevent you from rotating, talk with a personal trainer or physical therapist. Also, if you feel any kind of upper body pain while doing this movement, stop immediately, otherwise you can hurt yourself.
