Some gym enthusiasts are so committed to their workout routine that exercising once a day just isn’t enough. Adding a double dose of exercise to your schedule may lead to exhaustion and over-training, but that can be avoided if you follow these three steps.
Good Schedule
Make sure to put enough time between your workouts so you wouldn’t burn out. Scheduling the first workout in the morning and the second in the evening is usually the best way to go.
Right Balance
Avoid scheduling two intense workouts in a single day. Schedule heavy strength training in the morning, so your body has enough time to recover. Evenings should be reserved for more relaxed, cardio workouts.
Better Recovery
Your body will have a hard time recovering when you’re working out twice a day, so treat it with care. Increase calorie and nutrient intake, make time for short naps and consider doing massage therapy or meditation on your recovery days.
